One of the simplest and most promising technologies for rapid construction is monolithic housing construction. Its meaning is to create structural elements directly on the work site with the use of formwork - a special form for building construction.
Another subspecies of this trend - monolithic brick buildings, in which the frame of monolithic concrete is combined with brick walls. Formwork (the basis of the house) is made of metal structures on the building site, after which they are filled alternately with concrete. Materials for the manufacture of formwork can vary depending on the surface of the building from metal and aluminum to plastic, wood.
Facing the exterior walls of the house can be made of different materials, but most often it is a special ventilated facades. A layer of mineral thermal insulation is laid between the cladding and the concrete, because without the use of such a house will be quite cool.
In Ukraine, the technology of monolithic construction has emerged due to the Western experience, which is actively concerned, which takes into account not only the volume of buildings erected, but also the efficiency and speed of their creation. Note that, for example, a multi-storey 16-storey residential building is being built in 1 year of operation.
The advantages of building with this technology are many:
- Since the house is formed directly on the construction site, it is possible to change architectural solutions during construction.
- Since monolithic houses are much lighter than brick, it is possible to reduce the thickness and depth of the foundation, and thus reduce the cost of its creation.
- Another advantage is the reduction of labor, which is not required for the manufacture of prefabricated products at the factory - all structures are mounted on site.
- Due to the high-quality fit of individual blocks of poured concrete, there is no need to incur additional costs for sealing interpanel joints. For residents, this construction technology means excellent noise and heat insulation. In addition, the interior decoration of the premises is simplified due to the fact that the surface of the walls is flat and smooth.
- The seismic resistance of houses built using monolithic technology is quite high - at least 7 points on the Richter scale without severe damage.
The only disadvantage of this type of construction can be considered that in winter at a temperature below 20-25 degrees work on the site is stopped due to the inability to properly fill the concrete structures.
